MATATU DRIVERS

They were treated pretty bad, Kenyans think that Matatu drivers are drug dealers, thieves, the are always breaking the traffic laws, with this experience with the BBC, the cops were not able to take advantaged of Matatu drivers because of the cameras but still were victims of the stereotypes that they Kenyans have about Americans. In Barranquilla it depends a lot of which part of the city we are talking about. If we enfatize in the north part, the majority of citizens believe that mototaxistas are thieves or      murderers, but in the "Country side" Like towns we can find that they see mototaxis as another way of transportation, and the drivers just as people working like in another job.

AFROCOLOMBIANS

The topic of racism in colombia should not taken as something that is not happening near to us, sometimes we think that this is a situation that "poor communities" have to deal and that´s exactly the kind of thoughts that don´t let us move forward. Usually we see a racist behavior and we just do nothing about it, we have to speak if we really want to change this situation.
